I use FriendsFu and GuildFu as well. Nice heads up counter of guildies/friends and quick view of their names with a mouseover.

Interestingly enough, my article on "FuBar vs. TitanPanel" remains the most-read article on my blog, even though it has a disclaimer now that it's outdated, and my review of LibDataBroker is much more relevant. Of course, the fact that many FuBar addons work seamlessly with LDB is a huge plus. Fubar2LDB is a must, and I would strongly recommend AuditorFu over MoneyFu: A lot more info, especially if someone is an AH player at all. I used to use Fubar, but the CPU load just seemed too high, and I couldn’t use it in 25 man raids without significant frame rate loss. Since, I’ve switched to ChocolateBar with a few broker plugins.

FuXPFu is still handy to track reputation (or XP when leveling). I wonder why there is no generalized version that tracks whatever is trackable by number; professions come to my mind.

We have at least two if not several more Broker posts in the works. One is going to cover all the common Broker display addons, and one is going to cover why Broker is arguably better from an addon author’s POV. But in response to your distaste for the looks, you may want to give a different display a shot. It sounds like you probably tried Fortress? From my experiences, NinjaPanel, ButtonBin, and DockingStation all are more similar to FuBar, or can be configured to be so.

I have to correct myself: the fubar addon is SkillsPlusFu. I tried Broker for a while but didn't like it: the cellular looks and the kind of irrational way it functioned on me just put me back to 'old and bloated' Fu. Matt, request: Broker for the dummies? Copraâ€™s last blog post..Real life first
