Have you ever been curious as to how much damage gets poured into the shields of the Twin Val’kyrs in Trial of the Crusader? The Twin Val’kyr Shield monitor shows a bar of how much shield strength is left along with a timer before the Twins heal themselves. It’s a good way of knowing if your raid group can punch through or not.

Thanks Matt, this addon is fantastic.

Having only attempted the twins once, this seems like it would be helpful. I’m a Shaman and was charged (along with others) to disrupt the heal. Without knowing when to expect the shield to come down, it was hard to do (not to mention that we didn’t do well getting them down in the first place).
@Crofe: If you have the newest DBM, it now warns you with a “KICK NOW” appearing on the screen as soon as the shield is dead.

There’s an addon for everything, no doubt. What I do doubt is the necessity of having a separate one for every scenario, because the end result is a gazillion small addons for things you don’t need and managing/updating everything becomes more and more a drag. And as posted above, DBM already warns when the shield is down.
I’m sure there are players who feel they need an addon to tell them when to drink and buff, but personally I find these sort of addons a clutter when all you need to do is have an ounce of awareness and you can see when the shield is down and if you’ve made it quickly enough or not. At least I like to actually see what’s happening instead of staring at bars and being distracted from my surroundings by more bars and timers.
have to agree with mindseas, I suggest that if you really dont know when to burn down the shield or interrupt that whether or not the shield is up or down and the heal does or does not get cast you shouldn’t be playing anything greater than Kara.
Maybe I’m just grumpy today??

The whole point of the addon is monitoring how far from succesfully breaking the shield are you in hard mode.
Pretty sure we know what the purpose is Aljan hehe I question the need for such an addon is all. Seems like a waste of LUA and resources considering nearly every guild uses some form of boss mods (dont they).

Some people just like to know things. I’m sure it doesn’t take up any more resources than a unit frame addon. The DBM ‘Kick Now!’ mesage never seems to pop up when the GCD isn’t ticking away, so something like this showing me how much health is left would let me deduce when to stop mashing buttons for just a second to hit HoJ to stop the heal. If you’re still doing progression in ToC Heroic, you may only have a 1 second chance to stop that heal as my guild has many times.
Paired with the Phoenix addon on that page, it’ll even echo things like:
Who DPS’d the right shield target.
Who didn’t DPS the shield target.
Who ate the right colored orbs.
Who ate the wrong colored orbs.
Very handy diagnostic addon.
Our enthusiatic priest got excited when telling us about this add-on yesterday. It was a majority opinion that if you haven’t got the dps to down the sheild then an add-on saying so wasn’t going to help as everyone should be putting everything into this task. In any case I gave him 100 imaginary EP for the passion ^^
However Matticus points out that it tracks some other things which could help us improve our performance so I will have one of the officers load it up tonight.
Thanks for the good post.
Very very useful addon indeed!
